Upon processing of your duplicate license or ID, which can take 3-5 business days, you will receive an emailed receipt and
copy of your duplicate to print at home, which is the same type of temporary that you would receive in our office. If you
don't have a printer and need a printed copy, please visit an office. Your new license will be mailed and should arrive
in 2-4 weeks. A refund will not be issued if you choose to obtain a new card in person, including an upgrade to a REAL ID
card, after submitting an online application.
This online service is for replacement of a standard (non-REAL ID) card or a REAL ID card, depending on the type you currently hold.
The expiration date will not change.
An upgrade to a REAL ID requires an in-person application
and verification of identity documents.

records to verify your identity. Completing this page only verifies your identity and eligibility for obtaining a duplicate card online. It does not transact any business with the State of Alaska.
Information you provide below must match the information on your last issued Alaska
Driver's License or ID card.
